Our Unplugged trips (for international passport holders):
We have provided a sample itinerary below to give you an idea of what your trip may look like.  This itinerary is subject to change.

Day 1:  Meet at 10:00 am.  Orientation and introductions in Jerusalem, Shabbat dinner with Israeli friends and activists, sleep in Jerusalem’s Old City.

Day 2:  Visit Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, Beit Jala & Dheisheh refugee camp (all south of Jerusalem).  Pass through a checkpoint, meet with Ibdaa’ Cultural Center, have walking tour of refugee camp, meet with Palestinian leaders of Holy Land Trust, see the Wall and its relationship to area settlements, and stay with local families.

Day 3:  Visit Khalil/Hebron, visit the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee, walking tour of the old city, visit Ibrahimi Mosque/Tomb of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs, meet local families, return to families in Bethlehem. 

Day 4:  Tour of Jerusalem area, including the Wall, with Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), pass through Kalandia checkpoint, free time in Ramallah, meet with advisor to Palestinian Prime Minister, meet with university students from Ta’awon (a conflict management organization), eat dinner with students, sleep in Jerusalem.   

Day 5:  See how rural areas are affected by the Wall and occupation, including family imprisoned between the Wall and a settlement, visit International Women’s Peace Service (IWPS), meet with leaders of local women’s committee against the Wall and girls’ group Flowers Against the Occupation, sleep in rural village. 

Day 6:    Visit formerly Palestinian village taken in 1948 and visit the village the expelled residents built afterwards, see documentary about unrecognized Palestinian communities inside Israel, visit Nazareth and hear firsthand account by person directly affected by ’48 expulsion and Al Aqsa Intifada. Closing dinner, evaluation and celebration.  Option to stay that night since we will be ending late.
